Natural attractions

The highest peak of the island, Vidova Gora, is at 778 m, and it makes Brac the highest of all Adriatic islands. It provides a magnificent view of Bol, Hvar island and the channel separating them, as well as the view of what is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world – Zlatni rat.

Zlatni rat (Golden cape), is one of the most charming beaches on the Croatian coastline and at the same time the most representative panorama of Bol. It was created by deposits of fine pebbles as sediment around the underwater reef, spreading as a small tongue as much as 500 meteres into the sea.

Both of these attractions of Bol, are just a starting point for exploring what this magnificent Island has to offer.

People who inhabited Bol since prehistoric time extended its natural beauty by manual labour and handcraftsmanship, often inspired by faith and nature, creating a rich cultural and historic heritage.
